We welcome Cristian Valencia to Ligula

On March 14th, 2022, Cristian Valencia joined us at Ligula Hospitality Group. He will take on the role of Revenue Manager. His great ambitions and previous experiences fits perfectly with our team! To get to know Cristian a little better, we have asked him some questions. Below you can read his interesting answers.

  • Who are you?

I come from a small village called Kinna (50 km outside GBG) but have lived in Gothenburg for the past two years. In my spare time I meet friends and train a lot. Have played tennis at a high level in my youth and still play today.

  • What is your role at Ligula?

My role is Revenue Manager where I will help and support the hotels to optimize and find the right strategies to achieve the set goals that exist.

  • What have you done before this?

Started working at Landvetter airport as a check in agent but after a couple of years there I decided to study Revenue management. After the training, I got the chance to work as an RM at Scandic hotels. I also got the chance to implement RM for a paddle hall in Gothenburg.

  • What do you see as the best thing about working in the hotel industry?

That every day is different. You meet an incredible number of people and new developments are constantly taking place. An incredible amount of hotels are being built that the competition is getting tougher and I love to challenge myself with tough competition.

  • What are your ambitions in 2022?

To make a difference for Ligula Hospitality where we find good ways to optimize hotels with different tools & strategies. Ambitions in private life are to enjoy everyday life more and to start exploring new countries that I have wanted to visit.

  • If you could choose anyone to eat hotel breakfast with. Who would it be?

I would like to have breakfast with Elon Musk and be inspired by his mindset.
