Ligula Foundation distributes annual support – nearly 1.5 million SEK to vulnerable children and animals.

As we approach Christmas, we would like to highlight once again the work that our foundation, Ligula Foundation, does for children and animals worldwide. This year, almost 1.5 million SEK will be distributed to various organizations and projects that make a significant difference for those who need it most.

Since its establishment in 2017, Ligula Foundation, which was founded by the Löffler family, has distributed a total of 6.8 million SEK. Part of this year’s funds – 400,000 SEK – is given to organizations that receive matched funding through other companies’ support. This means that Ligula Foundation’s contribution effectively equals 1.9 million SEK in assistance.

An important part of Ligula Foundation’s engagement is in a village in Thailand where they have long supported schooling and education. Thanks to the foundation’s efforts, several young people have had the opportunity to pursue university studies – three have already graduated and four more are on their way. For these young people, who often come from very difficult circumstances, such a future would have been hard to achieve without this support.

This year’s contributions are also directed to vulnerable areas such as Sudan, Gaza, and Ukraine, where conflicts and humanitarian crises create enormous suffering.

“We are also proud that the foundation’s capital has been successfully managed and doubled since its start in 2017. A large portion of the distributed funds comes from hotel bookings made through our website ligula.se, and therefore we want to extend our warmest thanks to everyone who chooses to book through this channel,” says Uwe Löffler, CEO of Ligula Hospitality Group.

Through your bookings, we can continue to strengthen our efforts and reach even more animals and children in need.
