Ligula Hospitality Group takes active responsibility for sustainable development in the hotel and restaurant industry. Through systematic and long-term sustainability work, we contribute to a more sustainable society with a focus on environmental responsibility, good working conditions and respect for human rights in all the countries where we operate. Our sustainability strategy includes concrete actions to reduce our climate impact, promote social responsibility and create a positive impact in our local communities.
We work continuously to combine a high-quality guest experience with responsible environmental management. Through regular environmental assessments, we analyze the impact of our operations on the environment and translate the results into concrete, sustainable actions. Here is a selection of our key environmental initiatives:

We actively pursue sustainability work at our hotels in Sweden through environmental certification according to Svensk Miljöbas, a recognized standard for environmental management. The environmental certification helps us to identify concrete measures to reduce our environmental impact, follow up our efforts and create a clear structure in our environmental work.
All of our Swedish hotels and their restaurants undergo annual environmental audits where we analyze the environmental footprint and set targets to reduce energy and resource consumption. Through both internal and external audits, we ensure that our efforts are of high quality and lead to real change.
Environmental certification also contributes to continuous improvement through requirements for evaluation, follow-up and improvement measures. Regular environmental meetings and audits serve as a platform for knowledge sharing and integration of sustainability issues throughout our operations. Our goal is to constantly develop our environmental work and be at the forefront of sustainability in the hotel industry.

We want to minimize our impact on the environment and think it is important that environmental work is a natural part of our daily work. Our environmental policy defines the company’s principles for environmental work, which are clarified through goals and action plans in order to reduce our negative environmental impact. We work with continuous improvements in all our operations through the three key words:
REDUCE – REUSE – RECYCLE
Through active environmental work where we continuously identify and evaluate environmental risks and through continuous improvements, we both prevent and minimize our negative environmental impact. By integrating environmental aspects into all stages of our operations, we contribute to a long-term sustainable society.
We comply with all current environmental legislation and continuously monitor new requirements and regulations to ensure that our work is of high quality and follows best practice. Through annual environmental targets and locally adapted action plans, each unit is given concrete tools to reduce its environmental impact.
To drive committed and knowledge-based environmental work, we offer ongoing training to our employees. In this way, we strengthen the entire organization’s ability to contribute to sustainable development.
In central procurement, we set high environmental standards for suppliers of raw materials, materials and products – as a natural part of our responsible sourcing strategy.
Our vision is to contribute to a better environment for future generations through participation and engagement. With a long-term perspective, we want to help shape a more sustainable world for everyone.

People and communities are at the heart of our sustainability efforts. We want to create a safe and positive working environment where our staff thrive and where all guests feel welcome.
Diversity and inclusion are important values for us – both in the teams behind the scenes and in the interaction with our guests. It creates an open and inclusive atmosphere with a strong sense of community. By engaging locally and taking responsibility for our impact, we contribute to prosperous communities where we operate. Part of what we do:
We work continuously to improve both the physical and psychosocial working environment for our employees. Our aim is to create working conditions that promote health, well-being, commitment and long-term motivation at work.
The work environment work is based on our work environment policy and is an important part of our responsibility as an employer in the hotel and restaurant industry.
We promote gender equality and equal opportunities regardless of gender, origin or background. All employees should have the same rights to work, employment conditions, training and development.
Our work towards a fair and inclusive work environment is guided by our Equality and Discrimination Policy, which ensures that we prevent discrimination and promote equal opportunities throughout the organization.
We are an active part of society and take responsibility beyond our own business. Through the Ligula Foundation, we support initiatives that fight poverty and homelessness, promote children’s rights and provide concrete help to Ukraine.
Our community engagement is an important part of our sustainability strategy – where social responsibility is as natural as environmental concerns.
