Inspiration for the New ProfilHotels Garden

ProfilHotels Garden – Soon in a New Look

ProfilHotels Garden, one of Ligula’s 14 ProfilHotels, is currently undergoing an extensive renovation. The historic ProfilHotels Garden in central Malmö, located in the heart of the city with shopping, entertainment, and the central station just around the corner, has been completely closed since the turn of the year to make way for a comprehensive transformation.

Essentially, the entire hotel is being gutted. All surfaces are being reviewed and the hotel’s technical infrastructure is being fundamentally modernized. The goal is to create a completely new hotel experience – simply put, a new ProfilHotels Garden.

New Design and More Modern Meeting Environments

The reception and lobby will receive a completely new design with updated aesthetics and improved guest flow. The hotel’s restaurant, La Gare, is also undergoing a transformation with the ambition to become an even stronger meeting place for both hotel guests and Malmö residents.

The conference department is being rebuilt from the ground up and upgraded with modern technology as well as updated and more flexible meeting rooms. The investment aims to strengthen the hotel’s position as an attractive venue for meetings, conferences, and events in central Malmö.

Wellness and Completely New Hotel Rooms

As part of the renewal, a completely new wellness department, Santai Wellness with an adjacent gym, is being added, further broadening the hotel’s offering.

All hotel rooms and suites are being fundamentally renovated – from bathrooms to beds, furniture, and textiles. The result will be a completely new hotel with modern comfort and a clear identity, while preserving the building’s soul and history.

Opening Fall 2026

The renovation is in full swing and the hotel is expected to reopen in fall 2026.

– ProfilHotels Garden is a strategically very important hotel for us, not least with its central location in the heart of Malmö. With this investment, we are taking a comprehensive approach and creating a completely new hotel – from design and guest experience to technology and infrastructure. We very much look forward to presenting the new ProfilHotels Garden, which combines the building’s history with a modern and international feel. This is an investment we are very pleased with and which we are convinced will be appreciated by both our loyal guests and new visitors, says Sebastian Löffler, CEO of Ligula Hospitality Group.
