Copenhagen, July 2025 – ProfilHotels Copenhagen Plaza Hotel welcomes Sebastian Kamieniarczyk as new General Manager. With over 20 years of international experience in the hotel industry, he will lead the hotel’s continued development.
Sebastian Kamieniarczyk has an international background, graduating from Les Roches Hotel School in Switzerland in International Hotel Management. His career includes management training at the iconic Burj Al Arab in Dubai as well as roles at Scandic Hotels and as General Manager in Malmö.
“What I appreciate most is the opportunity to influence people’s experiences and create memorable moments. As a leader, I have been shaped by working closely with the teams and building a culture where everyone feels involved and valued,” says Sebastian Kamieniarczyk.
Copenhagen Plaza Hotel has completed an extensive renovation, modernizing five out of six floors of hotel rooms. The work includes updated rooms and corridors to offer higher comfort in line with today’s guest expectations.
“Copenhagen Plaza has a unique history and strong identity that I felt an immediate respect and attraction to. The opportunity to manage a hotel with such character, right in the heart of Copenhagen, was hard to resist,” explains Sebastian.
Sebastian’s commitment to exceptional service is illustrated by a concrete event.
“Once there was a family who could not get a taxi to Malmö Airport. They had been out on the town on the day of departure and came back to collect their luggage, but due to many events in town, there was no taxi available in time. The panic grew when they realized they were in danger of missing their flight. I happened to walk past the reception at that moment and saw the situation. After trying to reach several taxi companies myself without success, I decided to personally drive the family to the airport. It was hugely appreciated, and the next day they left a very nice review. It is in the personal contact that the good things happen.”
The hotel will soon have access to a street-level space previously leased to an external café business. Plans for this space have not yet been finalized, but the team sees many exciting opportunities ahead.
Sebastian describes his leadership style as “responsive, engaged and present” and emphasizes the importance of seeing each guest as an individual. His goal is for guests to leave the hotel feeling well cared for and with a smile on their face.
“At its core, our work is about good hospitality, clean sheets and hot food – there’s no need to fuss,” says Sebastian, summarizing his philosophy for successful hotel work.
