
NORRKÖPING, August 2025 – Ligula Hospitality Group welcomes Ulrika Jonsson as the new General Manager at Profilhotels President in Norrköping. With extensive overall responsibility for the hotel and its departments, she is now taking the step into her role within the group.
Ulrika Jonsson comes with a solid background from the hotel industry, where she has accumulated 22 years of experience. She spent 17 years at Scandic in various roles, followed by 5 years at Sky Hotel Apartments, which later became Vander Apartments. In between, she has also worked in senior positions at Selecta and Samhall.
“What I like most about working in the hotel industry is that no two days are the same. There is a great variety of both tasks and guests, which suits me perfectly. You have to be constantly on your toes and have a solution-oriented approach,” says Ulrika Jonsson.
As hotel manager, Ulrika sees great opportunities for Profilhotels President to take a more prominent place in Norrköping. Her philosophy is based on creating memorable experiences through small, genuine actions – from a warm welcome to personal tips about the city.
“We want to convey a sense of caring, from the first meeting to the departure. If you have a team that is happy, proud and committed, this is directly reflected in the guest experience,” she explains. Once there was a guest who was going to a wedding and had forgotten his clothes, which he found out in a panic. Our team solved it together. Another time, a family came in who accidentally booked the wrong date, and it was fully booked that day. We had to solve it all in a creative way.
Ulrika describes her leadership style in three words: committed, responsive and human. She believes that the key to a successful team is a strong sense of community with respect, clear communication and a shared understanding of why you do what you do.
Ulrika justifies her choice to go to Ligula with the company’s ability to let employees take responsibility in a free way within clear frameworks.
“At Ligula, you are allowed to take responsibility in your role in a fairly free way, and you have a big impact on your own business. Profilhotel’s President in Norrköping is a gem that has a great opportunity to take a little more space in the city,” says Ulrika.
Her first priority is to quickly settle into the business and get to know the team, both as people and in their professional roles. The aim is to work together to enhance what is already working well and hone what could be even better.
“I hope that guests leave the hotel with a feeling of having been genuinely cared for, that they have felt that all our employees are happy and have a genuine interest in making every guest long to return – before they have even left,” concludes Ulrika Jonsson.
