A gem in northern Germany – Hotel Dieksee is beautifully nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Dieksee. Come and enjoy the fresh air of the Holsteinische Schweiz Nature Park in the classic spa resort of Bad Malente near the Baltic Sea coast.
Part of our high-quality recreational facility includes a lavishing pool and sauna area comprised of two saunas, a whirlpool, and an indoor heated pool with a panoramic view of the lake.
Our Restaurant Louise offers an extensive breakfast buffet, which can be enjoyed on the wonderful sun terrace. It is also the perfect place to end the day with a delicious dinner and a glass of wine while gazing at the unforgettable sunsets this place offers.
The picturesque surroundings of the Nature Park call for all sports and nature lovers. There is a wide range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, Nordic walking, Standup paddleboarding, cycling, tennis, golf, windsurfing, and many others.
The Timmendorfer Beach, as well as the Hanseatic city of Lübeck, are situated only 30 kilometers away. These can either be reached by car, via the B76 highway, or by train. The central train station Bad Malente-Gremsmühlen is only 500 meters from the hotel, from where you can find excellent connections to cities such as Lübeck, Kiel, and the international airport of Hamburg. The harbors of Travemünde, Kiel, and Puttgarden are no more than one hour away by car. From there you can travel to cities such as Helsinki, Oslo, Malmö, Trelleborg, Göteborg, Rødby, Liepäja, or Klaipeda by ferry.
Many of the hotel´s 70 tastefully decorated rooms offer an unforgettable view of lake Dieksee.

The Hotel Dieksee is historically characterized by its long tradition as an inn. The hotel was built and opened in 1878/79 under the name “Hotel Hoffnung”, which was changed to “Hotel Dieksee” the following year. Over the years, the hotel had several owner changes. Nevertheless, its high prestige was always maintained. Its good reputation made Empress Auguste Victoria and her sons one of the most distinguished guests of the hotel. 140 years later, since 01.12.2018, Hotel Dieksee, is managed by the Swedish hotel chain Ligula Hospitality Group, with a continued and improved focus on the renowned hotel´s long guest tradition.
