Calmar Stadshotell has a rich history that goes 200 years back. One of the first guests of the hotel was the famous Swedish scientist Carl von Linné who came to stay at the hotel with his fellows in 1741. In 1906, the current building was completed.
Today we run a modern hotel right in the center of Kalmar, with a great dose of historical charm that greets our guests in a personal and relaxing setting. As our guest you stay comfortably, close to shopping, culture and other pleasures. You have the most important sites of Kalmar within walking distance, and just a few kilometers away you have Öland with all it has to offer.
Meetings and conferences
Calmar Stadshotell can offer several natural meeting places: the winter garden where our lovely breakfast is served, the library, and our Scottish pub Pipes of Scotland, where you can combine your meeting with something refreshing from the bar, or a bite to eat. We also offer assembly and conference rooms, that can house up to 200 persons. If you need an even bigger place, we can offer Kalmarsalen, with room for 800 people. All the modern technology you may need is available.
Food and beverage
In our lobby bar and the library there is coffee, tea, fruit and a biscuit. Pipes of Scotland is the hotel pub with a great selection of beer and whisky, as well as great food.
On July 1, 2017 we also opened Restaurant Statt Verandan, where you can enjoy good food and nicely composed drinks in the best sunshine.
Welcome to enjoy food and drinks with us!
