Calmar Stadshotell – Central hotel in Kalmar
Calmar Stadshotell has a rich history that goes 200 years back. One of the first guests of the hotel was the famous Swedish scientist Carl von Linné who came to stay at the hotel with his fellows in 1741. In 1906, the current building was completed.
Today we run a modern hotel right in the center of Kalmar, with a great dose of historical charm that greets our guests in a personal and relaxing setting. As our guest you stay comfortably, close to shopping, culture and other pleasures. You have the most important sites of Kalmar within walking distance, and just a few kilometers away you have Öland with all it has to offer.
Santai Spa & Relax
Our brand-new spa, Santai Spa & Relax, opened in the summer of 2023. Here, we have created a tranquil oasis where you can indulge all your senses and enjoy three types of saunas, three jacuzzis, a relaxation area, foot baths, various treatments, and our spa lounge with delicious food and drinks. Moreover, we offer a range of spa packages for you to choose from, including both day spa and overnight stays at the hotel.

Calmar Stadshotell is the perfect hotel for inspiring meetings, events and parties. Our meeting facility has modern rooms for creative meetings and events with room for up to 200 people. For smaller meetings, we offer our newly renovated boardroom, where you have access to your own lounge and state-of-the-art technology.
Food and beverage
Choose between our restaurant Statt Verandan or pub Pipes of Scotland, popular among both Kalmar’s local residents as well as our hotel guests. At Restaurant Statt Verandan you can enjoy our lunch or dinner from our à la carte menu – everything from light snacks to delicious 3-course meals with a starter, main course and dessert. Cocktails, bubbles, wine and beer can be enjoyed in our Champagne and Cocktail Bar. During the summer we open our terrace, where you can eat in drink under the open sky with the nice view of the city square.
Next door to the hotel you will find our pub Pipes of Scotland, where you can order food from our pub menu along with something to drink from our wide range of whiskey and beer.
